The Neighborhood Hops Traveling Beer Festival launched during OktoberFest 2007 in Seattle, Washington. tbd spread the word using a mix of traditional media and non-traditional local grassroots event marketing. The series of traveling beer festivals - dubbed 鈥淣eighborhood Hops鈥?鈥?toured Seattle area neighborhoods, celebrating the craft of great beer making and the spirit of the local community with local music and fare. As a result of Neighborhood Hops, Deschutes Brewery sales in Seattle increased during the beer festival and sustained for eight weeks following the promotion. The beer festival, largely the big barrel, generated media exposure with approximately 5 million impressions.
